Quick heartfelt thank you to everyone who not only helped us open for @forestblakk on Oct 23rd, but also came through big for us in trying to convince @justinnozuka we should do the same this Thurs, Nov 7th, in Vancouver (at the same @hollywoodtheatrevan we opened for Forest at)
It was important for me to share to not only everyone else, but Justin himself, why this opportunity was so personal for us and me in particular.
Holly will forever be my favourite album of ANY musician, it`s the only non LooPS album I have on display in my office, and it forever changed what I thought was possible for me as a musician. I`m now finally making songs like he did right from the jump...songs that are REAL and speak from the soul, and it`s all because of that album and how much it impacted me!!
Hes a true artist, and even if we don`t get picked to open for him for his Vancouver show, THANK YOU to all of you for helping us even get close to the chance...and thank you Justin for being you man. Hope we share the stage some day.

I don’t know about you, but I’m still coming down from this show!! Also, can you believe that this wasn’t even a full weeks worth of material?? We still played another show, went to Lillooet for content and travelled back to Kamloops! But opening for @forestblakk was by far the coolest experience we’ve had to date and to our new Vancouver friends: WE WILL BE BACK IN NOVEMBER!! I (Kevin) can be polarizing, but EVERYONE loves Jon, and with good reason. He has a huge heart, and if you are fortunate enough to have him in your life consider yourself very lucky.
LooPS simply does not work without him. I mean that literally...he does basically ALL the work and leaves the fun stuff to me.
I love this guy like my own flesh and blood and the past 5 years as LooPS have been the best 5 years of my life. All because of him. Any successful band will tell you, it`s not whether you get along on stage that matters, but off stage...the countless hours on the road, in hotels, working on your craft between shows...getting along THEN is what determines if you will make it or not. Well I can say, I truly enjoy all the other stuff with this guy as much as when we are on stage, and that says alot because that`s my happiest place on earth!
It`s impossible to spend time with Jon Fennell and not come away happier. That`s honestly the greatest praise I can give him on his special day.
I owe my career to you Jon. This next yr for you is gonna be the best we`ve ever had!!

We opened for @forestblakk in Vancouver!! This was truly an incredible experience and another big step forward for us. We have always dreamt of playing the iconic @hollywoodtheatrevan and it turned out even better than we ever could’ve imagined! Thank you to every single one of you who came out to watch us and to our new friends that we made who never heard of us before! We can’t wait to spend time with you in Vancouver again and play The Hollywood Theatre again sometime soon!! We told you we had something exciting coming!! As many of you who have seen us throughout 2024 know, we love playing this song and it’s one of Kevin’s all time favourite songs. Once upon a time it was just a request from a show but we decided if we were to do it for real we wanted to do it OUR way with our own twist and our LooPS taste. We’ve had so many of you ask us to release this song and FINALLY we were able to make this a reality.
Thank you to @jeremykneeshaw for recording and mixing this song and to Brock from @cpsmastering who mastered this track beautifully and brought it all together! The fact that @oasis reunited and is going back on tour in 2025 is up to you to decide if our teasers from the summer had anything to do with it 🤷♂️ Who’s to say it wasn’t us??

Out of all the countless talented acts in the region, to be voted 3rd is a huge honour. As competitive as we both are, we are humbled to be included in such a talented top 3, and let us tell you why...
The GOLD winners, @shattered_blue_band are not only friends but absolutely the best dedicated cover band you`ll find. They put on an amazing show and if you haven`t watched them live yet, go to @bluegrottolive (another winner) to see them ASAP. (Tell them Jon and Kevin sent ya!!)
SILVER went to the incredibly talented @mothersunmusic who not only are signed to a label (a goal we have not yet achieved and are envious of, lol) but they also had TWO separate songs on the great show Shamless. Good dudes and well deserved as well!
There is zero shame in "losing" to these two Local powerhouses. Just being a finalist is excellent company.

As for "LooPS: Diary of an Indie Band", we are surprised it even made the final 3 as we have neglected doing eps since the start of the summer with how busy our schedule is. Just seeing how much people have enjoyed us just being us and having fun while sharing our journey has inspired us to get off our butt`s and get recording again! New eps coming soon!
